This year’s pandemic has effected everyone around the world, including professional bloggers who have found themselves having to combine full-time and freelance jobs in a new way.
Every business and marketing niche has been changing at an unprecedented pace ever since pandemic became a reality. The world will never be the same.
Now that bloggers are forced to combine personal and professional lives in nw ways, there’s a lot of confusion and burn-out all over the place.
Where we were once shutting kids to school and activities before and after work, work-from-home bloggers have found themselves sheltered at home with their families.
On top of the usual usual blogging duties, suddenly a mountain of work and chores commingled. To say blogging are more frazzled than ever is an understatement.
Create a devoted workspace
Once upon a time, you had a corner office. Now, you’ve got gummy bears in your hair and kids playing underfoot while you try to tackle deadlines.
Even if you don’t have an extra room to set up shop in, set up a space that’s yours for working and add personal touches to it to make it more appealing.
Don’t under-estimate the power of interior colors!
An office should be both comfortable and functional. A lot of people choose to go with rich and natural tones, like the browns of wood. Or else they go with more modern designs, like black and white motifs, or metal lamps and more abstract or minimalist d?cor.
But you can really do anything here that makes you feel focused and energetic. Some people delight in bright colors and busy designs, and some find themselves able to concentrate more in simpler rooms. Either way, you should aim for what works to give your energy a boost.
Create your own blogging set
If previously you were trying to do everything manually, now is the time when you start delegating and relying on automation. You just cannot remain productive without that.

Do that routine thing
You might not need to make a major commute to get to work anymore, but don’t let that stop you from starting a modified routine.
While you don’t need to wear business attire, you should put on clothes that make you feel good.
Sticking closely to a routine that’s similar to the one in the ‘before’ time will help keep from bogging your brain down with negativity.
Routine is important because it keeps you on track. Performing regular tasks has proved to cope with change, create healthy habits, and reduce stress levels.
Take time for yourself
At the office, you likely didn’t sit there all day at your desk until it was time to go home.
Working alongside your family, it’s important to take those little breaks to let your mind function at its best.
When you sit back down for work again, you’ll be more refreshed and calmed, which makes for better productivity.
Your kids need you, your spouse needs you, your job needs you, and YOU need you.
Don’t forget to prioritize self-care during these times. Take a walk by yourself, soak in the tub, FaceTime your parents or your best friend. Find something that is just for yourself for at least 10 minutes a day so you can replenish.
More importantly, try and stay away from fake news – scary headlines can get you stressed more than you think.
Regardless of what you see in social media feeds, this time is stressful for everyone. It is the uncertainty and unpredictability that gets everyone, even those who pretend to be just fine.
You are not alone.
But as someone noted, we are all going through the same storm but we are all in different boats. It may be tougher for some people, and easier on others. But we all feel it.
So take a breath and accept the fact that it is a weird year and it is tough.
None of this is easy for any of us, especially stay-at-home bloggers. Dads are in a difficult situation too but they still let the brunt of the housework and parenting fall onto our laps.
Don’t expect him to read your mind and let him know exactly what you need.
While optimism is key, when you let your own glass start to go empty, you won’t be able to manage work and life balance. Fill up your cup to make a change for the better!
